Press-On Application Guide

Follow these step-by-step instructions for a flawless, long-lasting press-on manicure. Each step is essential for ensuring a secure hold and natural look, so take your time and follow carefully.

STEP BY STEP

STEP 1 - Prepare Your Natural Nails

Why is this important?
Clean and dry nails are essential for proper adhesion. Any dirt, oil, or residue can prevent the adhesive from sticking, causing the Press-On Nails to lift prematurely.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
  • Ensure your natural nails are free of polish or treatments.
  • Dry hands completely before proceeding.

STEP 2 - Push Back Cuticles

Why is this important?
Ensuring your cuticles are pushed back allows the Press-Ons to fit snugly for a more seamless, professional look and to sit longer.

  • Use a cuticle tool to gently push back the cuticles.
  • Be careful not to apply too much pressure to avoid damaging your skin.

STEP 3 - Select the Correct Size Press-On Nails

Why is this important?
A proper fit prevents discomfort, lifting, and premature detachment.

  • Choose a Press-On Nail that fully covers your natural nail.
  • A nail that is too large may lift, while one that is too small can allow water to seep in, weakening the adhesive.
  • Lay out the correct sizes in order for easy application.

Important:
Ensure the number on the back of the Press-On Nail faces the tip of your natural nail, not the base.

STEP 4 - Buff Your Natural Nails

Why is this important?
Buffing creates a slightly rough surface, helping the glue tabs adhere better and ensuring longer-lasting wear.

  • Lightly buff the surface of your natural nails with a gentle nail file.
  • Do not over-buff—just create enough texture for the adhesive to grip.

Tip:
If needed, trim your natural nails for a better fit.

STEP 5 - Choose the Correct Glue Tab Size

Why is this important?
Selecting the right glue tab size ensures a secure and long-lasting fit.

  • Select a glue tab that covers your natural nail without touching your skin.
  • If in doubt, opt for a slightly larger tab.
  • Use alcohol wipe to clean your nails.
  • Before peeling, check the fit by placing the glue tab over your nail.
  • Once satisfied, peel off the protective film and apply the tab.

STEP 6 - Secure the Glue Tab

Why is this important?
Proper application ensures a strong bond between the glue tab and your natural nail.

  • Peel off the remaining protective film.
  • Firmly press the glue tab onto your natural nail.
  • Smooth out any air bubbles using your finger or a cuticle tool.

Tip:
Use tweezers for easier handling if needed.

STEP 7 - Apply the Press-On Nail

Why is this important?
Correct placement ensures a comfortable, long-lasting fit and prevents air pockets.

  • Start with your dominant hand.
  • Position the Press-On Nail at the base of your natural nail, slightly pushing it under the cuticle at a downward angle.
  • Press down firmly for 10-20 seconds to allow the adhesive to bond.
  • Apply the thumbs last.

STEP 8 - Smooth the Nail Tips

Why is this important?
Filing the edges enhances the seamless look of your manicure.

  • Use a nail file to gently smooth any rough edges.

Removal

STEP 9 - Removal (When Ready)

Why is this important?
Proper removal prevents damage to your natural nails.

  • Gently slide a cuticle stick between the Press-On and your natural nail.
  • Work back and forth until the Press-On lifts off.
  • Never force removal, as this can damage your natural nails and the Press-On Nails.
  • Remember to save your Press-On nails as they are reusable.
